Colorado Springs, Colo. - The UIC men's gymnastics team won it's second consecutive meet of the season as they defeated Air Force at Cadet West Gym on Friday night.

The Flames narrowly edged the host Falcons 334.400-333.100.

The evening was highlighted by Kevin Baune and Jeffrey Bill winning their first event titles of the season.

Baune took the high bar title with a tally of 13.400.

Bill tied his season-best vault score and took first place honors alongside teammate Anthony May with identical scores of 15.450.

If two event titles weren't enough, Neal Thompson added to the mix capturing two more individual titles for the Flames.

For the second time in the last two meets, Thompson garnered the top spot on the pommel horse (13.350) and the parallel bars (14.400).

In the all-around results, May finished in second with a season-best 83.650 and Andrew Stover came in third with an 80.300.

Other notable performances for the Flames included a career-high routine on the floor exercise (14.750) for Alex Kadar, and third place finishes for Nikolai Korepanov on still rings (14.550) and Matthew Phillips on the pommel horse (13.200).

UIC will be back in action on Sunday for a rematch against Air Force beginning at 3 p.m.
