Men's Tennis Falls To Indiana State
March 2, 2008 Hinsdale, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis squad lost a close 4-3 decision against Indiana State on Saturday afternoon. Despite the top doubles pair of Sebastian Lystad and Bastian Harbo defeating the Indiana State team of Jon Sigurdsson and Joshua Smith, 8-3, neither the second or third positions could find a rhythm, dropping the doubles point to Indiana State. The Flames picked up singles wins at the third, fourth and sixth positions, but could not pull out a fourth victory to seal up the match for UIC. Adrianno Liccardo is now on a five-game winning streak, defeating Jon Sgurdsson in the third slot in straight sets, taking the match 6-3, 6-3. The UIC men's tennis team takes on its first Horizon League foe this weekend, facing Green Bay in Milwaukee, Wis. on Sunday, March 9 after hosting Buffalo in Oak Park on the 8 at 6 p.m.
