UIC Women's Basketball Notes in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team concludes regular season action against Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. CST. Senior Day will be celebrated prior to tipoff at the Pavilion.

UIC will also celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on March 8. NGWSD was established by the Congressional resolution in 1986 to celebrate the achievements of girls and women in sports. For more information about NGWSD, please visit www.womenssportsfoundation.org.

The Flames will host the first round of the Horizon League Tournament on Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. UIC's seed and opponent will be determined after Saturday's league games. For ticket information, please call 1-312-413-UIC1.

UIC enters its final regular season game 10-19 overall and 6-11 in league play. Youngstown State is 12-16 on the season and 7-10 in conference action.

The Flames are coming off a 93-80 win over Cleveland State on March 6 at home. Taylor Manley led squad with a season-high 19 points. Meghan Hutchens was one rebound shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Youngstown State enters the contest after falling to Loyola at Gentile Center on Thursday night. Overall, the Penguins are paced by Heather Karner with 13.5 points per game.
